Topas Ecolodge 3 days & 2 nights – Hiking & Biking Package

Day 1: Comfortable drive to Topas Ecolodge. Take a biking tour to neighboring villages (-,-,-)

From 6:30 – 7:00 AM, you will commence from your Hanoi hotel with Topas Mountain Express for a 5 hours transfer to Topas Ecolodge. After checking in your bungalow, you will enjoy the beautiful and peaceful view of the surrounding mountains and valleys from your private balcony. You will start the afternoon cycling trip by following the main road for three kilometres to Lech village of the Red Dao minority, enjoying the magnificent valley view on the way. Here you will leave your bikes and take a short walk on dirt road to visit a traditional Red Dao family and experience the culture of the minority villagers who are living peacefully in the same way as their ancestors. Back at the parking place, you will take a further ride to the Moi village and learn how the women in their doorways are doing their embroidery, which the Red Dao people are very famous for. From the village, you head back to the Lodge. In the evening you may want to book a traditional Red Dao herbal bath at the lodge’s newly opened spa.

Day 2: Hiking to the remote area of Sapa (B,L,-)

Enjoy a great breakfast and prepare for today´s walk. At 9:00 AM, you will commence the excursion with a transfer deeper into Hoang Lien National Park to the trek starting point near Sin Chai village. You are now “off the beaten track” enjoying beautiful views of high mountains, waterfalls and the deep valleys. The trails will soon lead you to the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu, , here you will meet the villagers, visiting their house, and learn about their daily way of life. Leaving the village behind, you will turn into a small dirt trail and soon be inspired by the marvelous view of the rice valley dotted with bamboo huts, which used by local farmers as overnight lodge in harvesting days. Passing the rice terraces and a river you will walk on a quiet road for a while before arriving at Nam Cang village. Your lunch is served at Topas Riverside Lodge, with jungle behind the lodge and river in front. Nam Cang village locates at the most remote area of Sapa. The Red Dao women wear some of the most colorful and diverse costumes of all Vietnam’s ethnic groups. Herbal bath, local medicine and embroidery are some of the things that the Red Dao are very skilled at. Accompanied by your guide, you will explore around the village and learn how the local villagers make writing rice paper, jewelry and embroidery. You may also want to take a swim in the river. At 14:50, you will have a transfer back to Topas Ecolodge. The traditional Red Dao herbal bath is highly recommended if you missed the chance yesterday.

Day 3: Explore Sapa town and Black H’mong village. Limousine transfer to Hanoi (B,-,-)

At 9:00, you will take a transfer by shuttle bus to Sapa town. You will now get on your bike and take a short tour around the old Hill Station town and its lake. You will then take a descent into the Muong Hoa valley and its national park, observing the fantastic scenery of mountains and rice paddy fields along the way. You will get off the road and visit a Black H’mong village and explore the though mountain tribe, famous for their special skills in making agricultural tools, musical instruments, hemp production and indigo dying. After a great ride you are now back at Topas Ecolodge where you have time for relaxing. Topas Mountain Express departs from Sapa at 14:00; from Topas Ecolodge at 15:00 and returns you to your hotel in Hanoi. Approx: Grade: Moderate/ 3 hours biking.
